“National” Woman Requests Protection of her Property from the President

September 20, 2010

The member of National Movement of Georgia Mrs. Dalila Bochormeli was obligated to address President Mikheil Saakashvili with an open letter in the newspaper “Kviris Palitra” and ask for help. In the letter she states that in the region of Kaspi, Igoeti section, in the land under her ownership, the highway has been constructed that violated her property right. According to the open letter, Dalila Bochormeli addressed the Georgia Road Department, but they have not taken any effective steps. The complete text of the open letter from “Kviris Palitra” reads as it follows:

Mr. President, I’m sorry to have to address you with an open letter, but I have no other way. While building the highway in the section of Igoeti, Kaspi Region, they illegally intervened in my private property, without any agreement, without any contract the highway was built in the property owned by me.

Except for seizure of the land, the plants were cut down, the fence was destroyed, the irrigation system is destroyed, house is damaged. I addressed the Georgia Road Department, which has taken no effective step for dispute resolution and restoration of my violated rights.

Meanwhile, my rights enshrined by Georgian constitution, legislation and international conventions are violated. Unfortunately, in the lawful country, the building of which is your primary mission, the civil rights are violated. The attitude of department towards me makes me feel completely neglected.

Mr. President! I submitted five requests under your name with the hope of assistance. I think you are not aware of my situation. I have a strong hope in your justice, that you are really doing everything for the welfare of people and development of our country and won’t allow the violation of sovereign rights in the 21st century like it happens in totalitarian states.

I believe in you, that’s why I dare to bother you. I understand well that should not bother you with a minor matter like this, but I see no other way out. I have a strong hope in your justice.

Respectfully, your ally, the member of National Movement
Dalila Bochormeli
