Broadcasting of TV Companies Maestro and Caucasia Still Halted in Telavi

October 18, 2010
Television company Gorda is still halted to broadcast the programs of Maestro and Caucasia. As Kakheti Information Center was told in the Gorda administration, the reason of halt of Maestro and Caucasia broadcasting is the technical damages.

“We have been halted to broadact Maestro, Caucasia and NTV+. This happened independent from us. There are serious shortcomings in the television. We are waiting for some devices and as soon as the technical damages are fixed, the broadcasting of all three TV companies will be renewed,” – stated Mayvala Avalishvili, the office manager of TVcompany Gorda.

Telavi cable company stopped the broadcasting of Maestro and Caucasia programs on September 29th.

The founder of Caucasia, Davit Aqubardia stated with Kakheti Information Center that the turn off of their canal is connected with the political order. According to Aqubardia, no technical shortcoming exists for turn off and it’s just an excuse.
