Georgian mothers and spouses went to Brussels with the request of objective investigation of the cases of their family members.

As the lawyer Natia Korkotadze stated to Pirveli (first), following people went to Brussels: Ia Metreveli, mother of Buta Robakidze murdered by Patrol Police officials, Tsiala Shavadze, mother of Roin Shavadze, Elene Maghradze, wife of military expert Vakhtang Maisaia convicted in spying for Russia, acknowledged to be a political prisoner by the local human right defenders, Eka Shikhvashvili, wife of Merab Ratishvili, former President of Golf Federation, convicted in keeping/using drugs illegally, acknowledged to be a political prisoner by the local human rights defenders.

“This group will meet with ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in Brussels and provide the detailed information concerning its pretensions towards the investigation of relevant cases. Georgian women will come back in two days and the results of visit will be disclosed later on,” – she added.
