Officers of the MIA detained Vladimer Meladze, suspected in the physical assault of Temur Doliashvili, cameraman of the Maestro TV.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation concluded that on November 2, Vadimer Meladze was at his friend – Giorgi Kartozia’s place where he met Temur Doliashvili. Conflict started between new acquaintances which turned into a verbal and physical controversy. After the quarrel, Vladimer Meladze met Temur Doliashvili in the yard of his house and beat him with truncheons.
Vladimer Meladze was detained for the crime envisaged under Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Several days ago, it was reported that the cameraman of the TV-Company Maestro Temur Doliashvili was beaten. The MIA started investigation on the fact. The father of the victim stated that his son was physically assaulted by law enforcement officers.
