Epidemics Might Break up in Gurjaani

November 24, 2010
Fecal masses penetrate from the damaged sewerage well in Kostava Street in Gurjaani. The residents of the street reported to the Kakheti News Center that they had applied to the district administration for help several times but in vain. The doctors say unless the problem is eradicated immediately, the epidemics might break up in the town.

“The situation has been unbearable for more than one month in the street. Fecal masses penetrate directly in the street from the damaged sewerage system. We have informed the district administration about the situation but nobody has paid attention to us yet,” said a resident of the Kostava Street Tsiuri Sepiashvili.

Gurjaani district governor Shota Utiashvili said nobody has applied to their agency for help. “Today, we will send a special group to the place; they will study the situation and then we will try to resolve it,” said the district governor.
