The explosion occurred on November 28th night in front of the Labor Party Office is estimated to be the act of terrorism by the party members. President Saakashvili and his government representatives bear direct responsibility on the occurred, according to their statement.
As the head of Labor Party Shalva Natelashvili stated at the press conference held on November 29th, the mass explosion that resulted in the casualty, was organized by the criminal-terrorist regime of Mikheil Saakashvili whose goal is to sustain its power by intimidating people.
As for the another explosion occurred on the same day at the Noneshvili St. in Mukhiani, as Shalva Natelashvili states, this explosion was carried out in order to diver people’s attention.
Labor Party Chair called on the group of deputies of American Congress and Euro Parliament to arrive in Georgia. He stated that he can prove to them that Mikheil Saakashvili is a classic terrorist by providing the factual evidence.
Labor Party briefing was attended by the leader of People’s Party Koba Davitashvili who declared solidarity to Labor Party on behalf on National Council. He also stated that the fact of explosion was an act of terrorism with political motivated and noted that if the accident is not promptly investigated, it will prove that Mikheil Saakashvili took responsibility on himself.
According to official information of MIA, an explosion occurred in Tbilisi, at #88 apartment building at Javakhishvili St, on November 2th, at 01:30. As a result of the incident, 65-year-old Nino Gordeziani, a resident of #74 Javakhishvili St, died. One more resident is wounded. The houses nearby and the office of Labor Party are damaged.
At 02:56, an explosion occurred in front of the supermarket located in the #13 apartment building of Mukhiani first micro region. No one suffered as a result of the incident, however, the store is damaged and windows are broken. The vessel, fridges and goods are damaged as well. The glasses are broken in the surrounding houses.
The investigation is being conducted by the Tbilisi Main Agency of MIA according to article 229 of Criminal Code of Georgia. The first part of this article envisages the deliberate explosion of gas, petrol, oil or other substances and endangering life, health and property of someone else. The envisaged penalty is four to seven years in prison.
According to the statement of MIA, according to the initial results of the expert examination conducted by the criminal department, both explosions were carried out by the same explosive substance.
In order to determine other details of the explosion, certain time is needed. The final results of the expert examination of criminal department will be made public by MIA.
