Viktor Dolidze: “About 6500 IDPs Deprived of Thirty GEL Monthly Assistance”

Approximately 6500 IDPs will be deprived of thirty GEL monthly assistance in Tbilisi, stated the member of Our Tbilisi and Free Democrats Viktor Dolidze at the press conference held in Sakrebulo (City Council).

The situation of people below the poverty line is getting worse, according to him. For this category, namely 6500 socially vulnerable individuals, who are the IDPs as well, 72 tetra was envisaged a day. For 2 months now, for some uncertain motivation, this money is no longer allocated in the budget. Approximately hundred citizens addressed Sakrebulo on the corresponding issue.

Viktor Dolidze talked about the issues the financing and decision-making of which will take place in the nest year’s budget by the initiative of Free Democrats. He noted that by the initiation of Free Democrats, Sakrebulo supported the program sentences for advancing the small businesses and 5.2 million GEL is envisaged in the 2011 Tbilisi budget with this purpose.

According to Viktor Dolidze, they will express readiness to take active part in the implementing of the relevant programs, developing the regulations and monitoring the program.

Also, by the initiative of Free Democrats, for the people below the poverty line, giving birth will be free starting from 2011. The individuals with 100000-200000 rating points belong to this category.

According to Viktor Dolidze, the issue of free transportation of the blind guide has also been decided. According to the agreement, from the fund of the city mayor, the sum of which is 2 million GEL, the expenses will be made for referral and urgent medical treatment. This monitoring will also be conducted by Our Tbilisi.
