Eka Kvesitadze: “I Would Be Happy to Sue Badri Bitsadze and Receive Financial Compensation Imposed on Him In My Favor”

December 20, 2010

Journalist Eka Kvesitadze commented on today’s article in the newspaper “Asaval-Dasavali”.

The journalist said the information provided to the newspaper by Badri Bitsadze was absurd and nonsense. According to the information, Erosi Kitsmarisvili met Saakashvili with her support.

“I have heard a lot of accusation and rumors about me, but I never heard similar nonsense yet. I cannot make any serious comment on it. I heartily laughed after hearing this information”, Kvesitadze reported to the radio “Palitra”. She also added that she has seen Erosi Kitsmarishvili only twice – in her own TV-programs.

The journalist cannot understand why Badri Bitsadze decided to spread similar disinformation. She assumes that he had decided to make his versions about different topics more absurd.

“I should look through the legislation. As far as I remember, our legislation is very liberal with regard to slander. I would be happy to sue Badri Bitsadze for slander and received the fine imposed on him by the court. I do not think this topic is serious enough to consider; it just entertained me,” she said.

According to Badri Bitsadze, the government paid 2 million GEL to Levan Gachechiladze to “destroy” Nino Burjanadze. Erosi Kitsmarishvili was mediator between Gachechiladze and the government and he gave the money to him. “Saakashvili and Kitsmarishvili met in Batumi, Hotel Sheraton. Eka Kvesitadze was mediating between them; later they got in touch with Shota Utiashvili,” said Bitsadze in his interview with the Asaval-Dasavali.
