December 23, 2010

Head of Maestro information service, Tamar Rukhadze stated that she cannot provide any information and redirected us to the leadership of TV network.

Kakha Bekauri, Director General of the TV network, says broadcasting was suspended due to technical reasons. However, he cannot say when the broadcasting will be resumed.

Reports say Maestro V has financial problems. Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s ‘Fund 2020’ may leave the leadership of the TV network. Kakha Bekauri cannot say anything about the information yet.

One of the owners of the TV company Mamuka Ghlonti noted – “There is prophylaxis today. I do not know when the broadcasting will be renewed.”

Neither journalist is inside the Maestro TV building by now, the guard told InterPressNews journalist.

Natia Mikiashvili, journalist of Maestro TV, says suspension of broadcasting of Maestro TV is related to technical reasons and not to financial problems.

“The TV network had some technical problem last night, and it was turned off. Maestro has financial problems, but its turning off is connected to technical problem and not to financial reasons,” – noted Mikiashvili.

As for reports that Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s Fund 2010 left the leadership of the TV network, Mikiashvili says: ‘the fund has left Maestro TV long ago and Erosi Kitsmarishili is not in the leadership any more’.

According to her, the leadership of the TV network will make a statement later.
