Trial on Veterans At the City Court

The trial on veterans detained in Hero Square, Tbilisi is underway at the Tbilisi City Court. The bailiffs did not allow journalists to enter the courtroom as well as politicians Lasha Chkhartishvili, Aleko Shalamberidze, Irakli Batiashvili, Dimitry Lortkipanidze who intended to monitor the court hearing.

The representatives of the NGOs, relatives and parents of the detainees were not allowed into the courtroom either.

The bailiffs clarified that the court hearing was going on in a small room and about 10 people were accused. The police officers were in the room so there was no place left for other people in it.

Later, Irakli Batiashvili and Eka Matiashvili were called to the trial; they were interrogated as witnesses.
