Inhuman Treatment of Prisoners Will Not Be Justified

January 12, 2011
The Prison personnel will not be able to justify themselves because of inhuman treatment of prisoners.

The Ethic Code of the personnel of detention settings within the Ministry of Penitentiary, Probation and Legal Aid has become stricter in regard with the control on inhuman treatment of the convicts.

The old Ethic Code, which was in force last year, simply states that a prisoner shall not be subjected to torture, ill or inhuman treatment.

It is emphasized in the new Ethic Code that nothing can justify similar treatment of inmates.

The new Ethic Code of the employees for detention and imprisonment institutions is already in force. Its violation will be qualified as disciplinary infringement.
