Conservative Party Protesting against New Tax Code

January 13, 2011
Conservative Party members protested against new Tax Code. Lasha Ckhartishvili and Aleko Shalamberidze held a briefing with small businessmen at Vagzali square surrounding territory. As Shalamberidze stated at the briefing, new Code terrorizes the businessmen.

“According to new Tax Code, every director of market becomes a tax agent who will take taxes from the sellers. Taxes are very high. These people are small businessmen. They did not fall in the classification of micro business and were granted with status of small businessmen, as a result, they will have to pay 5% of money received from the circulation of goods in every month,” – noted Shalamberidze.

According to Lasha Chkhartishvili, government tries to monopolize every sphere of economic endeavor.

“Government declared merciless fight against small businessmen trying to take over all the spheres. New Tax Code does not aim on increasing the budget money, on the contrary it aims on bankrupting the small businessmen,” – noted Chkartishvili.
