Irakli Alasnia Had Breakfast with Barack Obama and Met John McCain

During his visit in the USA, the leader of the Free Democrats of Georgia Irakli Alasania met the US Senator from Republic Party, former presidential candidate of the USA John McCain.

According to the press-center of the Free Democrats, McCain and Alasania discussed the necessity of democratic development and election reforms in Georgia.

After the meeting, Alasania said the political establishment of the US and among them McCain are fully aware that in 2012-2013 the government of Georgia shall be changed through peaceful elections.

“It could guarantee the reinforcement of democrat institutions and development of democrat society in our country,” said the leader of the Free Democrats.

Before meeting John McCain, Irakli Alasania attended the annual breakfast with the President Barack Obama. American Congressmen invited him to the event. During his visit in the US, Alasania meets officials in the US State Department, White House, Congress and Senate.
