‘Saakashvili is America’s Son of a Bitch’ – Alexander Lukashenko

March 7, 2011
In a three-hour interview with the Washington Post senior associate editor Lally Weymouth on Monday in his Minsk office, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said “Saakashvili is ‘son of a bitch’ of America.”

The journalist assumed that Lukashenko will never have problems and the first president of Belarus answered: ‘I will not have. Recently in Georgia, President Saakashvili suppressed opposition manifestation in a most brutal way. Yet you (the USA) continue cooperation with him. Why? Because Saakashvili is your son of a bitch. Please tell American people that we deeply respect them. We will never build an iron curtain to prevent them from coming to Belarus’.

He accused the USA of organizing rallies in Minks during presidential elections in 2010.
‘Who else can I blame for that? You funded the demonstrators. Should I blame China? We will not allow you to create a fifth colonna in Belarus . . . to undermine current system in Belarus. I have normal authority. But let the God will prevent you from the attempt to overthrow the government in our country,” Lukashenko told the Washington Post.
