Teacher from Akhalgori Youth House Restricted to Enter Akhalgori Region

March 9, 2011

Akhalgori Youth House teacher of Georgian folk dances is not allowed to enter Akhalgori region, Tamar Mearakishvili, a director of Youth house reported to interpressnews on the corresponding.

“While leaving Akhalgori last week this person was warned on the Georgian Post that he would not be allowed to go back with an old notice. When he applied to the relevant administration service in Tserovani for changing his notice, without any explanation he was told that they no longer issued a document and thus he could no longer enter Akhalgori,” – stated Tamar mearakishvili.

According to the teacher, he is a Georgian citizen and has been teaching Georgian folk dances in Akhalgori Youth House for a year now.

“He was allowed to teach by the Office of Minister in Reintegration Issues. The office issued a term less notice so he could enter the region without hindrance,” – stated Mearakishvili.
