Labor Party rejected Tsezar Chochel’s Reception

March 10, 2011

Labor Party leader Shalva Natelashvili held a protest rally at the house of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor Tsezar Choheli. Labor Party members brought a skeleton of sheep and hung it at the gate of the house.

At the protest rally Shalva Natelashvili referred to Tsezar Chocheli as Jako, the main character from Mikheil Javakhishvili’s novel Jakos Khiznebi (Jako’s boarders) and blamed him in violence.

Natelashvili stated that instead of taking care of the region, Jako Chocheli is busy with “skinning” people.

“Instead of taking care of this region, Jako Chocheli is skinning population. This palace the value of which is 25 million dollars is covered with marble inside. Mikheil Saakashvili helped him with it. Saakashvili transferred the monopoly of beer, candy, plastic, concrete and now meat business to him. Iberula store network where the meat costs 15 to 30 GEL belongs to Chochel. Does this not mean that he is skinning people?” – stated Shalva Natelashvili.

“This is how Saakashvili and Chocheli skinned Georgia. Soon we will hang their skeletons on the trees of Rustaveli Avenue,” – stated Natelashvili when hanging sheep skeleton at the gate of Chocheli’s house.

Chocheli house served the protestors with wine and pickles. Labor Party members sharply reacted on this.

According to Shalva Natelashvili, by this action Chocheli family perceived Labor Party members and the citizens of Georgia as beggars and rejected their reception.

The table with the served food was overturned. The protest rally ended this way.
