Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijan Human Rights Defenders Demonstrated in Geneva

On March 10, in front of the UN Office in Geneva Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijan human rights defenders held demonstration.

The demonstration was initiated by the South Caucasus Network of Human Rights Defenders and Norwegian organization Human Rights House also joined them.

The human rights defenders tried to attract the attention of the UN to the problems in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. More precisely, they requested freedom for political prisoners and prevention of human rights violations and repressions in their countries.

Georgian organizations - Human Rights Center, Article 42 of the Constitution and Public Movement - Multinational Georgia participated in the demonstration.

After the demonstration, the member organizations of the human rights network attended the session of the UN Human Rights Council and met UN representatives.

South Caucasus Network of Human Rights Defenders presented report Human Rights in Caucasus at the session of the UN Human Rights Council.
