Captive Released from Tskhinvali Prison Asks for Help

Malkhaz Akhlvediani, a captive released from Tskhinvali prison asks for help. Akhvlediani talks about the severe financial situation of his family to interpressnews.

“Before I was captured by Russian soldiers, I worked in a company and had a certain income. Now, my family and I are deprived of any income source. I am asking business companies and everyone who is able to, to help us financially or employ us so not to fall in a hopeless situation,” – stated Malkhaz Akhvlediani.

According to the former captive, his 20-year-old son needs surgery on both of his legs.

43-year-old Malkhaz Akhlvediani was detained by Russian soldiers in the January of 2010 in the village of Nikozi. Tskhinvali court passed a verdict of one-year imprisonment. Akhvlediani was released by Ossetian side on February 11th of 2011.
