March 18, 2011
Vladmier Jgharkava applied to the Human Rights Center for help. His family cannot visit free dinner house any longer. He said, nobody works in his five-member family and their only income is pension.

“We cannot get social allowance because the social agent granted 58 170 points to us. I do not know how to buy bread. Yesterday, I came to the dinner house and they told me I could not have dinner here any longer,” said the 80-year-old man.

The officials of the Batumi City Hall clarified that only citizens with less than 57 000 points can have free dinner because 641 900 GEL allocated from the budget can feed only 1 400 socially disabled person.
