Human Rights Center Requests Investigation in the Violations Observed in Telavi Theater

Human Rights Center requests investigation in the violations observed in Vazha Pshavela State Academy Theater of Telavi. The organization addressed the Kakheti Agency of Investigation Department of Revenue Service with the corresponding request.

The staff of Vazha Pshavela State Academy Theater of Telavi are at a disagreement with the theater director Duta Skhirtladze. According to Kakheti Information Center, theater staff accuses Duta Skhirtladze of nepotism. According to them, he comes to the theater once in several months. The theater does not function as a result.

According to staff, director does not give them salaries. The last time they met Duta Skhirtladze was March 22nd, at the meeting of theater actors where he sweared on them. The actor Avtandil Guliashvili died as a result of heart attack at this meeting.

Duta Skhirtladze denies these accusations.
