President of Manufacturers’ Association of Israel Opposes Economical Cooperation with Georgia

The President of the manufacturers’ Association of Israel Shraga Brosh opposes the economical cooperation with Georgia.

According to the news agency Izru, Shraga Brosh wrote a letter to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor where he states: “Georgia has become dangerous country for Israelis. Therefore, the Israeli government should recommend to the local businessmen to restrain from departing to this country and carrying out any business activities.”

The article also states that Georgian media reports about new charter flights between Israeli and Batumi. According to the Izru, Israeli Transport Ministry has heard nothing about this.

Israeli businessmen Ronnie Fuchs and Zeev Frenkel have been detained in the October of 2010 in Batumi. They have been charged with the offence of offering bribe to the state official. Tbilisi City Court passed 7-year imprisonment sentence against Ronnie Fuchs and 6 year and six months – against Zeev Frenkel. The fines have been imposed as well.
