Koba Subeliani’s Department Responding to Accusation of Free Democrats

April 21, 2011
The Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation of Georgia responded to the accusations of Free Democrats. As the head of the press service of the Ministry Eka Gulua stated to the journalists, Tinatin Keburia and Roena Kvaratskhelia lived in Tbilisi at Machabeli St. illegally. The state had offered them an alternative place, but they refused to accept it.

“These people lived in someone else’s property illegally. We offered to transfer rehabilitated place to their ownership in the regions. However, they refused to move. Mr. Dolidze can advice them to accept our offer. They were offered place in the regions by the Patriarchate as well. They refused to accept it,” – stated Gulua.

One of the leaders of Free Democrats Victor Dolidze held a press conference at the Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation with the IDPs Tinatin Keburia and Roena Kvaratskhelia. He stated that Keburia and Kvaratskhelia were evicted from the Machabeli St. along with tens of families of IDPs. The Patriarchate gave shelter to them.

According to Victor Dolidze, nobody offered alternative place to these people. They have also been deprived of social assistance.
