May 10, 2011

The Tbilisi City Court sent Tsatsa B to two-year-imprisonment for having beaten an underage child.

The Tbilisi City Court reported to the Interpresnews that according to case materials, Giorgi D and his wife Irina K hired Tsatsa B as a baby-sitter for their child Nikoloz S. The baby-sitter had to take care of the under-age child throughout the day when his parents were away. Instead implementing her obligations, Tsatsa B systematically beat the child without no reason and did not give food to him. Tsatsa B’s activities caused physical and psychological trauma of the child.

At the trial Tsatsa B confessed and regretted her behavior. Besides her acknowledgement statement, the accusation was proved by: testimonies of the parents; examination protocol; video-recording on the CD and other valid proofs attached to the case materials.

As a result, based on the agreement between the parties, the Tbilisi City Court sent Tsatsa B to prison for 2 years.
