Mikheil Saakashvili to Voice Andy Garcia

President Mikheil Saakashvili will voice Andy Garcia in the Georgian version of the Five Days of August. It was reported at the press-conference today. Co-producer Nika Avaliani said Georgian version of Renny Harlin’s movie will be screened in Georgian cinemas from June 5.

He added Renny Harlin will visit Georgia for the first day of the film-screening.

According to Nika Avaliani, the film was very popular in European and American film-festivals.

The co-producer said the film was screened in Venice and Canne Film Festivals; the film participated in the European movie-market.

According to Avaliani, the film was shown in Los-Angeles; American cinema experts and critics said the film is a Military Drama.

As for the decision to show the film on the Valencia Adventure Film Festival, Avaliani said the Festival was chosen on purpose as the film is a military drama and has adventure elements too.

“I cannot agree with the assumption that Valencia Festival is not A Class Festival. It is issue of taste. However, we decided to show the film on Valencia Festival because the film contains the elements of both drama and adventure,” said Nika Avaliani.

The co-producer cannot name the concrete amount of the film-budget. “I am not competent in this information; you can ask the question with the main producer of the film,” said Avaliani.

Reportedly, filming cost about 20 000 USD.
