May 18, 2011

On May 18, a new armored vehicle “Didgori” participated in the rehearsal of the Military Parade on May 26, the Independence Day. Website Geo-army reported about it.

The website also reported that the vehicle was manufactured in Georgia. Together with the Georgian armored vehicle, Israeli manufactured armored vehicle “Rafael-Wolf” and rocket complex “Spider RS” also participated in the rehearsal.

According to the website administration, the “Geo-Army” is an online source for the promotion of the Georgian armed forces and it has nothing to do with the Defense Ministry or any other official institution.

On May 18, the rehearsal was going on in the Rustaveli Avenue throughout the night.

According to the Defense Ministry, land and air military equipment also participated in the rehearsal. The National Ballet Company “Sukhishvilis” also participated in the rehearsal for the parade of the Independence Day. On May 26, they will perform national dance “Khorumi” in military uniforms.

Because of the rehearsal the traffic and public movement in the Rustaveli Avenue was restricted.
