Georgian NGOs Appreciate Assistance from the USA and EU in the Protection of Human Rights

May 19, 2011
Georgia based non-governmental organizations thank the USA and European Union for their assistance in the field of human rights. The statement was spread by the Article 42 of the Constitution.

They express deep gratitude and respect to the USA for their significant assistance to the Georgian population, for their assistance in the development of democratic values, Rule of Law, human rights and civil society in the country.

Representatives of the non-governmental organizations will gather tomorrow and sign the appeal to the US Embassy to Georgia.

NGO representatives will send another thanksgiving letter to the EU Mission in Georgia where they will express their respect to the organization and request the EU to enhance the civil society monitoring mechanisms on the responsibilities assumed by the Government of Georgia in the framework of the EU Neighborhood Policy and Eastern Partnership.
