Financial Assistance of Socially Vulnarable Families under Sequestration

The financial assistance for socially vulnerable families in Kakheti is under sequestration. The representatives of socially vulnerable families who were unable to receive the assistance in the branches of Liberty Bank informed the Kakheti Information Center on the corresponding. A mother of six children is one of these people, the only income for who is the social assistance.

According to Kakheti Information Center, the Telavi Regional Center of Revenue Service of Finance Ministry has sequestrated the social assistance of 93 socially vulnerable families.

It should be noted that pensions of 533 pensioners were also under the sequestration. Kakheti Information Center disseminated information on the corresponding on April 20th. The same day the revenue service clarified that Telavi Regional Center cancelled the sequestration of pension of 533 pensioners. However, they were still not able to receive the pensions for the months of March and April. The pensioners were told in the branches of Liberty Bank that the revenue service transferred their money to the budget.

The deputy Governor of Kakheti stated on April 23rd that the social assistance for the socially vulnerable families has also been cancelled. But it turned out that it is not true. Giorgi Sibashvili is not in Georgia right now and we could not contact him. Telavi Region of Revenue Service does not comment on the issue.
