Preliminary Detainment Cells Overcrowded in Kakheti

The preliminary detainment cells are overcrowded in Kakheti. More than 20 supporters of the opposition are detained in the region. Some are imposed with the administrative imprisonment, some are illegally placed in the preliminary detainment cells. Human Rights Center disseminates this information.

Eight detainees are identified. These are the head of “Shepistuli Group” of Public Assembly Sagarejo committee Giorgi Kavelashvili; member of the committee Gela Dighmelashvili; head of Sagarejo regional organization of Conservative Party Gia Gurgenishvili; supporter of Public Assembly Giorgi Piralishvili; head of Kvareli Regional Committee Otar Adomlishvili; member of Public Assembly Telavi regional committee Archil Tabliashvili; member of Gurjaani regional committee of Public Assembly Tariel Melkoshvili; member of Kvareli organization of Georgian Party Zurab Asabashvili.
