Avtandil Rekhviashvili Raises Doubt on Ministry of Internal Affair’s Version of Kvintradze’s Death

The friend of the deceased Nika Kvintradze Avtandil Rekhviashvili recognized Kvintradze on one of the photos where his hands are tied and he is lying on the ground

As Rekhviashvili stated to interpressnews, he was at the Freedom Square with Nika Kvintradze on the night of May 26th. Later, when the units of Special Forces started raid, they moved to the metro station Freedom Square where the law-enforcement officials detained them.

As Rekhviashvili stated they were handicapped and then transferred to one of the agencies of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and that is where he loses track of Kvintradze. He has several questions regarding the death of his friend. Rekhviashvili states that he cannot understand how handicapped Kvintradze turned out to be on the roof of the store near the Freedom Square.

According to MIA, on May 27th the bodies of Nika Kvintradze and Suliko Asatiani were discovered on the roof of one of the stores at the Freedom Square. According to MIA, the possible reason of their death might be coming in contact with the electric wires.
