People vs. Construction Company

June 7, 2011

The residents of Gorgasali St. #156/158 in Batumi are requesting the Construction Company Sasko to fulfill its obligation undertaken four years ago namely the construction of apartment building and transferring the apartments to their ownership. The residents held a protest on June 4th in this territory.

According to the residents, according to the agreement signed with the company Sasko the apartments should have been transferred to them in September of 2010. The obligation has not been fulfilled. The construction has not started yet.

The head of the board of Sasko Company could not name the exact date of starting the construction.

Temur Kakhidze, the head of construction company Sasko: “I do not have any information regarding the start of construction. The company hopes that it will receive sums from the bank and something will happen, but nothing is certain yet.”

As the residents noted, before receiving their apartments, some of them are renting places. Several families live with their relatives.
