“You better not Come Here or else You will be Sorry for the Blackmailing”

June 13, 2011

Kakheti Information Center accuses the head of Commission of Land Property Rights Dedoplistskaro Municipality Tristan Kurkhulishvili in oppressing the journalists.

Kakheti Information Center received information that Tristan Kurkhulishvili who has been heading the Land Property Rights Commission starting from the last year has been issuing the property certifications by violating the law due to his personal interests.

Kakheti Information Center tried to double-check one such fact with Tristan Kurkhulishvili and asked him – “Did you really issue property certifications for your relatives?” Kurkhulishvili responded: “Do not blackmail me. I’m not afraid of you. You better not come here, or you will be sorry for it.”

This is not the first case when the public officials are openly threatening the journalists when the latters are performing their professional duty.
