German Ambassador Visited MIA Due to Zurab Kurtsikidze’s Case

Yesterday, German Ambassador to Georgia Ortwin Hennig visited the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs in regard with the detention of photo-reporter Zurab Kurtsikidze. Protocol service of the German Embassy informed the Interpresnews about it.

Representative of the Embassy does not speak about the details with journalists.

Keti Kuchava from the Embassy said she would consult about the issue with the ambassador and if he agrees she will provide the Interpresnews about the detailed information.

Interpresnews and Palitra.tv video-recorded the diplomatic car of the German Embassy near the MIA office during the ongoing journalists’ rally yesterday; the correspondents recognized the German embassy Ortwin Hennig in the car; they were leaving the MIA building.

Zurab Kurtsikidze worked for the EPA, whose head office is located in Frankfurt. Journalist Ia Antadze said that representatives of the EPA also intend to arrive in Georgia.
