Representatives of the International News Agencies Met Vano Merabishvili

Representatives of the international news agencies met the minister of interior Vano Merabishvili regarding the case of the detained photo-reporters.

“We had agreed to leave the part of the today’s meeting off the records. We will write an article about it and it will be published. Unfortunately, I cannot speak about the details of the meeting,” chief correspondent of the Reuters Caucasus Bureau Margarita Antidze.

She added that Minister Merabishvili, Deputy Minister Eka Zguladze and head of Analytic Department Shota Utiashvili attended the meeting in the MIA which lasted 2 hours.

Reuters’ photo-reporter Davit Mdzinarishvili, producer of the Associated Press Sopo Megrelishvili, Blumberg’s Correspondent Helena Bedwel and France-Press’ Correspondent Irakli Metreveli participated in the meeting.
