Alleged Telephone Numbers of Sinitsyn and Okrokov have different owners now

July 22, 2011

InterpressNews checked telephone numbers, published by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the version of the Prosecutor’s Office, the telephone numbers belonged to Sinitsyn and Okrokov, officers of the Russian Defense Ministry. The Prosecutor’s Office alleges the detained Photo-reporter Zurab Kurtsikidze used to call Sinitsyn and Okrokov on those phone numbers.

InterpressNews found out that one of the numbers -599 95 41 62 belongs to Alexandre Chikhladze.

“I have had the number for a very long time. I bought it at the Magti office and not from any private person; I have never lent it to anyone; the number is registered on my name,” Chikhladze said and added he had never called Zurab Kurtsikidze from his cell-phone.

“He has never called me. Are you talking about the photo-reporter who is now detained? My number has nothing to do with his case; it is false, it is impossible,” said Chikhladze.

InterpressNews checked another number (599987426) too. Certain Archili answered the phone call, who has had the number for the last 3-4 years.

“I have already been asked about this issue. I also read this information and got surprised; there is some mistake,” he said.

The Chief Prosecutor’s Office published the abovementioned phone-numbers today. According to them Zurab Kurtsikidze was calling on those numbers in 2004.
