July 27, 2011

Activist of the movement FEMEN Ina Shevchenko was detained on the basis of the suit of the employees of the Georgian Embassy in Ukraine; she was accused of provoking their colleague, Ukrainskaya Pravda reports.

Law enforcer officers allege although criminal case was launched against Georgian embassy’s collaborator, the FEMEN activist will also be punished.

Police officers detained Shevchenko when she was walking. Police tried to put her in the car; she resisted and tried to run away.

On 18 July, FEMEN protested outside Georgian embassy in Ukraine in support of Georgian photo reporters. The embassy collaborator attacked one of the photo reporters. Consequently, he was dismissed from job.
