According to Wikileaks, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi and Metropolitan bishop of Abkhazia and Pitsunda, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II planned to visit the action on May 26th of 2009 but he changed his decision due to the fact of meeting Giorgi Gachechiladze like he was a messiah.

The next secret material of scandalous site dated by June 25th of 2009 talks about this and reflects the content of conversation between the former ambassador John Teft and Minister of Penitentiary of that time Dimitri Shashkin.

According to wikileaks material, as Shashkin stated to Teft he was watching the May 26th developments with Minster of Internal Affairs Vano Merabishvili, Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili and several other people. The source from the Patriarchate notified them that the Patriarch was planning to visit the action. Everybody realized the significance of this visit, but they knew it was impossible to make him change his mind.
