The New Law Allows Hunting in National Parks, Preserved and Protected Landscapes

September 15, 2011

The list of hunting places in Georgia is estimated by the law. Introduction of amendments to the Law on Forest is planned whose initiators and authors are: Pavle Kublashvili, Kakhaber Anjaparidze and Zviad Kukava.

According to the draft-amendments, permission on hunting will be issued by the Natural Resource Agency. The hunting will be allowed in the area of forest funds, national parks, preserved areas, protected landscapes and in the area of multisided use; in the area of forest funds and national forests of Abkhazia’s and Adjara’s autonomous republics.

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources estimates the list of animals which can be hunted in Georgia.

Current edition of the law does not provide information where and based on which document person can hunt or which agencies can issue those permits.
