Kakheti Regional Governor Participates in Pre-Election Campaign

September 21, 2011

Kakheti regional governor Giorgi Gviniashvili participates in the pre-election campaign of Vasil Davitashvili, single mandate candidate from the National Movement in Telavi Election District.

On September 18, the regional governor met residents of Rustaveli Street in Telavi together with Vasil Davitashvili. Locals complained about various problems with the candidate and Gviniashvili promised them the local authority would do much good for the region together with Davitashvili if he is elected.

Kakheti regional deputy governor Giorgi Sibashvili said the governor participated in the pre-election campaign on Sunday – non-working day so he did not breach the requirements of the Election Code.
