Hybrid Maize for Deputy Minister of Agriculture

Free Democrats request the Deputy Minister of Agriculture to issue compensation for the Peasants.

Ministry of Agriculture is aware of the problems regarding the hybrid maize in certain regions of Georgia. Konstantine Kobakhidze, Deputy Minister of Agriculture stated the corresponding to the journalists.

According to him, the Ministry has precise information regarding the maize harvest in Tskhaltubo and Khobi. “Certain problems regarding the hybrid seed in this region was in some cases determined by climate and in some cases for wrong works conducted in this area,” – stated the Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

He noted that the Ministry is doing everything to eradicate these types of problems for next year.

The members of Free Democrats Giorgi Tsagareishvili and Davit Onoprishvili went to Tbilisi Marriot and transferred a small-size undeveloped maize taro and grains.

As Giorgi Tsagareishvili stated there are serious problems in several regions regarding the harvest of hybrid maize. Tsagareishvili called on the Deputy Minister to issue compensation for the sufferers and noted that by the hybrid maize program government deceived peasants.

The Deputy Minister noted that representatives of Free Democrats are deceiving people and they brought Georgian maize and not American one to Tbilisi Marriot.
