Collecting Finances for Several Acts Punished under Law

October 4, 2011

Collecting finances for several acts is becoming a crime.

The corresponding amendment is being made to the Criminal Code of Georgia. According to the draft law, collecting and transferring finances or other property for taking hostage, illegal appropriation of air or water vessels or movable part of railway, nuclear or radioactive substances or other sources of eradiation is punished from ten to fourteen years of imprisonment.

According to the draft law, the finances must be collected in predetermined nature and it does not matter whether or not the crime has been committed.

The authors and initiators of the draft law are the deputies Kakhaber Anjaparidze and Zviad Kukava.
