October 20, 2011

The President of Cartu Group Nodar Javakhishvili talks about increase of withdrawal of deposits from Cartu Bank.

As Nodar Javakhishvili stated in the program Resume of radio Palitra the withdrawal of deposits from the Cartu Bank has increased.

“We needed this money not to impede our clients. We know that there is pressure to transfer money to other banks. The incident related to Cartu is a direct indication that this bank is under the government’s attack and a call to people to transfer money,” – Javakjishvili noted.

Javakhishvili does not exclude that the charity projects of Cartu Bank might be attacked as well.

“As of today, we have not stopped any projects, but if this pressure, including financial difficulties continues all these projects might stop,” – Nodar Javakhishvili noted. These are different charity projects, including the salaries for the representatives of art and sports.
