Wife of Protest Demonstration’s Organizer Sacked from Job

Nana Sabanashvili, wife of Zaza Lagazidze from Zemo Alvani village, Akhmeta distirct, was sacked from job. Zaza Lagazidze had initiated and organized protest demonstration of Tushi residents of Zemo Alvani village who protested selling out of village pastures.

The ICK published the video about the demonstration on October 14. On the same day, police officers visited almost every participant of the rally who was seen in the video. The police officers demanded them to stop their protest or they would face problems. One of the protesters Dimitry Baindurashvili was detained for several hours. Zaza Lagazidze was summoned to the police station where he gave receipt that he would not hold demonstration in future.

Nana Sabanashvili worked as an accountant at the Akhmeta district hospital.
