Manana Kobakhidze Fined for Smile and Has Her House and Bank Account Distrained

November 21, 2011

Lawyer Manana Kobakhidze states that Judge Marina Siradze fined her with 300 GEL for a smile and the executor distrained her bank account and house for this fine without notifying the lawyer about it.

“In addition to that I had to cover 60 GEL for execution. Than the TBC Bank finished their job and when paying the revenue tax to the budget they did not accept the cash saying they were prohibited; in short, I had a very interesting week and I will be happy if I am not arrested,” Kobakhidze wrote on her wall in Facebook.

She added the judge declared “she is fined for a smile that demonstrates her disrespect towards the court,” it was her clarification but as soon as she realized the nonsense of her formulation, she removed the word “smile” from the protocol; they are masters of fabrication; of course I appealed against the protocol but nobody has discussed my application yet,” Manana Kobakhidze wrote.
