New Party Funding Regulations Go into Force

New party funding regulations have already gone into force. Sakanonmdeblo Matsne   has already published the newly passed law.

Consequently, political unions of citizens and entities enlisted in the Article 26/1 of the law, who have received funding not in line with the new law and have not spent the money at the time of enacting the law, shall return the allocated funds to the donors within three calendar days. If the funds are not returned within three days after the new regulations enter into force, that is till January 1, these donations, remaining unused and received prior to adoptions of the new legislative amendments, will be transferred into the state ownership.

The new regulations were estimated for political parties, as well as legal and physical entities acting for political purposes, and people related with the entities, etc. The President signed the New Regulation of the Law on December 28.
