An agreement has been achieved between the Georgian side and the Jewish company ‘’Elbit Marakhod", Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a news briefing today.
According to Kalandadze, several agreements were signed between the parties.
"These are private business agreements. Both sides are satisfied, which means both sides made concessions," said the Deputy FM.
As for the figures, the Deputy Foreign Minister did not specify numbers. Kalandadze said that the figures cannot be revealed yet.
“I cannot say the figures. Many agreements have been made. Some of them were satisfied, some – not. The position of Georgian side was correct and it would be wrong to start talking about figures,” – Nino Kalandadze stated.
In April 2011 the Israeli arms manufacturer "Elbit" reported that the Georgian side had not paid money under the contract signed in 2007. "Elbit" was demanding $ 100 million and was planning to sue in Arbitration Court. On December 29, 2011 "Elbit" published information on its official site, according to which a deal was made between the company and the Georgian side. As per the agreement, the company will receive 35 million dollars and some weapons back from Tbilisi.
