January 25, 2012

Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze commented on the Human Rights Watch’s report.

He said the purpose of the international organization is to indicate to problems in the human rights field to various countries. Not a single country has perfect situation in this direction throughout the world. Even France and the USA are sometimes targets of the Human Rights Watch’s concern,” he said.

Bakradze said the organization speaks about annual systemic improvement in Georgia. However, there are problems, which are urgent in other countries too and there is no perfect exceptions in the world.

A few days ago the Human Rights Watch published 2011 report, where a chapter is dedicated to the analysis of human rights situation in Georgia. The report states some areas of human rights are critical.
