Youth Organization of the Georgian Dream Assembled In front Of the Parliament

February 3, 2012

Members of the Georgian Dream’s Youth Organization held a protest assembly in front of the Parliament on the seventh anniversary of Zurab Zhvania’s death, who occupied positions of the speaker of the parliament and prime-minister of Georgia in different times.

Tsotne Zurabiani from the Georgian Dream’s youth wing said seven years have passed since Zurab Zhvania’s death and society still have questions about the accident; the investigation has not finished yet either.

Zurabiani said they request impartial investigation of the accident and estimation of the truth. He said the case is obscure and uninvestigated.

“Civil society cannot put up with the selective justice in the country. Youth wing of the Georgian Dream will permanently hold assemblies to protest various violations, which will aim to eradicate illegality in the country. The ruling party must acknowledge that society cannot forget similar accidents. Our youth wing of the Georgian Dream will always protect the rights of each citizen,” said Tsotne Zurabiani.

About 50 young people participated in the assembly; they were holding Zurab Zhvania’s photos. Participants were wearing t-shirts and scarves of the Georgian Dream.
