Alla Dzhioyeva – Political Prisoner

Opposition leader in South Ossetia Alla Dzhioyeva declared herself to be a political prisoner. Tskhinvali based news agencies reported about it.

Dzhioyeva signed a letter with the status of political prisoner, which she sent to her supporter. The former pupil of the opposition leader had sent her a letter and expressed her concern about ongoing situation in the South Ossetia; the former pupil is mother of three children.

“I decided to share the concern of my former pupil with the entire population and show them that voice of honest person is very important. Those people are devoted to the creation better future for our children. Respectfully, Alla Dzhioyeva, political prisoner of South Ossetia,” Alla Dzhioyeva wrote.

As a result of attack on Alla Dzhioyeva’s office in the evening of February 9, she was placed in the intensive therapy department of the Tskhinvali hospital. Doctors diagnosed stroke and heart attack. However, according to the spread information, Dzhioyeva was hit by gun-butt during the attack and she has several limbs broken. At the moment, Dzhioyeva feels better though dozens of police officers patrol at hospital and near her chamber.
