Sozar Subari: Chamber of Control Has Turned into Punitive Organization

March 15, 2012

According to one of the leaders of Georgian Dream, former ombudsman Sozar Subari, Chamber of Control of Georgia has turned into punitive organization. “If we had Constitutional Security Department and Special Operative Department up until now, now we have a third special secret police in the form of Chamber of Control,” – Subari stated to Kakheti Information Center.

According to him, interrogating people just because they are collecting signatures in support of Bidzina Ivanishvili is a law violation. “What Mrs. Mogeladze does is an ordinary crime and she has to be held responsible for it according to criminal rule and she will. When a person is stripped off clothes and is subject to interrogation, insult, abuse and threats, this is human rights violation, this is abuse of authority and I think Ombudsman needs to react on it,” – Sozar Subari stated.
