MIA Disseminates Statement on Death of Citizen Tamaz Jghiradze

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) of Georgia disseminates statement regarding the death of citizen Tamaz Jghiradze. Interpressnews presents the statement as disseminated by MIA:

“The Regional Police Division of Gori has received a report according to which Eter Makhatadze, the resident of Gori requested police assistance. Eter Makhatadze complained about the argument she had with her cousin regarding the apartment issue.

Eter Makhatadze was interviewed by the district police officer of Gori regional police division. In connection with the case Tamaz Jghamadze was also requested to appear at police station, who came to the station accompanied with Gia Tchavtchavadze, who attended the process of interrogation of Tamaz Jghamadze.

Tamaz Jghamadze had a conversation with a district police officer and before the official interrogation started he felt ill after which the ambulance was requested to come to the station. Unfortunately, despite the efforts made by the ambulance crew Tamaz Jghamadze died.

According to the statement made by medics he died due to the heart failure.

Investigation is already launched in connection with the above mentioned fact,” – reads the statement.
